Had this product for a year now, so can give a pretty in-depth review…
Firstly, be aware that it only uses normal light bulbs and wont work with energy efficient ones. Bear in mind these bulbs won’t be around for very much longer…
Secondly, it describes itself as having a radio – don’t be misled. The radio reception is SO terrible and the quality sooo poor that this function is unusable. (and this is in a room where other radios have no problem)
Thirdly, and in day to day use most annoyingly, to turn on the alarm setting you have to go through each sound effect in full – there is no way to simply switch it on silently. This is REALLY irritating if you just want to set the alarm in the middle of the night without waking anyone…not possible!
Of a lesser annoyance, the buttons are all in French (not that hard to translate) and the UK plug adapter is a very poor fit.
Finally be aware its quite a tall device, larger than it looks in the pictures, and the top is open to the elements, so gathers dust wonderfully well.
Oh…and really can’t recommend the quality either – the on /off button for the light no longer works on mine, so i have to unscrew the bulb to switch it on and off – so THATS why they left the top open…!

I really wanted an alternative to the very expensive Lumie lights (we have one already its in my daughters room now) plus wanted something with a radio. Maybe I was just unlucky and got a Monday one but it worked fine when you switched it on but as soon as out touched the radio buttons then all the buttons stopped working. Keep on trying to switch it all off and remove the batteries etc, but gave up in the end and sent it back to Amazon. Have now bought another Lumie. If it had worked OK I reckon it would have been just fine – only niggle would have been the small roller that you use to raise and lower the brightness of the light take a lot of rolling to go from one extreme to the other and take a excellent 10-15 seconds of rolling which feels like a really long time. Disappointed as I really liked the look of it and the time show was really cool
